Dan Smith to judge for an innovation competition at Georgia Tech.
ACC-InVentureThis past weekend, Dan Smith was a judge for the inaugural ACC InVenture Prize competition. Student-entepreneurs from each ACC university battled it out Shark Tank style as they pitched their inventions or business ideas.
This is the first year of the ACC-wide competition. Each University in the ACC, including Dan’s alama mater, University of Miami, is sending a team to the competition. Dan is a member of the University of Miami President’s Council and serves as the Chairman of the University’s Launch Pad at Toppell Advisory Board. (The Launch Pad, established in conjunction with the University, the Blackstone Charitable Foundation and the Kauffman Group, serves both beginning and experienced entrepreneurs.)
